.... working with women and children to challenge domestic abuse

10/03/2009 - Freedom Programme

Are you a woman who has left an abusive relationship? Do you want to avoid getting in to an abusive relationship again? Would you like to better understand the tactics used by abusers? Would you like to attend a confidential support group with women who have had similar experiences to yourself?

The Freedom Programme runs twice a week in Monmouthshire - both in the North and South of the county. It consists of 12 sessions that each look at a different tactic that an abuser uses against you, such as bullying, persuasion, and mental abuse.

You can come along as often as you like, and participate as much or as little as you like.

All sessions are entirely confidential. A worker or volunteer from Women's Aid Monmouthshire facilitates each session.

Depending on our funding situation, we might also be able to assist you with transport to the Freedom Programme sessions, and provide child care if needed.

Please call 01873 859011 for more information, or to request one of our Freedom Programme leaflets.
