Fancy a Challenge?
WAIMON is currently seeking volunteers. Volunteering can be extremely rewarding and may also help women back into the workplace. Our volunteers play an important part in the organisation, and without them we would not be able to provide such a dedicated service. Whilst we are seeking new volunteers, we also wish to thank our existing ones who do an excellent job including taking part in on-call, providing support to women and children and carrying out office duties. |

Community Referrals 2008/2009
WAIMON does not receive funding for drop-in, floating support or outreach services. Although it is not advertised, an outreach service supporting a small number of Monmouthshire women does exist, staffed mainly by volunteers. It is usual for workers to offer 1 appointment for new referrals to assess their situation before offering information and signposting to other agencies. Where additional support is necessary, e.g. for solicitor’s appointments and court, this is provided by volunteers. |
