.... working with women and children to challenge domestic abuse

Volunteering

As a charitable organisation we rely on the vital contribution of volunteers to carry out some of our work. Volunteers are required to undergo a Police Check and complete a probationary period, and once these are completed you can become fully involved with the work that we do. You might help with activities or outings with children, accompany women to legal or medical appointments, get involved with administrative tasks in the office, form supportive relationships with women who require refuge aftercare, or help with fundraising.

As a volunteer we will find out what contribution you wish to make to ensure that you gain as much enjoyment and satisfaction as possible, we provide training and an induction to ensure that you feel supported and confident in your role within the team, and we will cover all expenses that you might incur whilst working with us so that you are never out of pocket.

For more information or to request an application pack, please call us during office hours on 01873 859011 or email us at waimon@btconnect.com
